Community Involvement

[This page maintained with the assistance of Dianna Whitaker, Community Involvement Coordinator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Region 7]

Opinions of local citizens are an important resource for a community when decisions must be made about the future. If you are a citizen in the New Haven area, you are encouraged to become involved in the Superfund investigation. Two ways to become involved in the investigation are through the Community Advisory Groups (CAGs) and the Technical Assistance Grant (TAG).

CAGs (Community Advisory Groups)

On March 27, 2001 a group of local citizens meet with representatives from the USEPA and MDNR to discuss the possibility of forming a CAG for the Riverfront Site.
